Volunteer Lancashire

In Britain, around 22 million people formally volunteer to help out in their local
community each year. An increasing proportion of these are supported in their
community activity by their employer.

Why is this form of volunteering – employee volunteering – becoming so popular?
It’s because everyone involved – the organisations that provide employee
volunteers, the organisations where employee volunteers help out, the wider
community and the employees themselves – has something to gain.

Volunteering Lancashire are currently looking at a model for employee volunteering
– watch this space during 2012 for more updates.
