Interested in joining Volunteer Lancashire?

We are just looking at our membership for the group and would like you to confirm

your future preference. Could you please circulate this to any volunteer using

organisations that you think would be interested.

Mission Statement

Volunteer Lancashire aims to promote a leaner effectively marketed and

high quality volunteering infrastructure reaching recruiting and placing a

greater number and diversity of individuals coupled with improving volunteer

management.

We are looking at 2 levels of membership both of which are free:-

Active Membership

• attending bi monthly meetings on a regular basis

• being a proactive member of the group

• following through on action points from meetings

• take joint responsibility for the work of the group

• be an ambassador for volunteering in Lancashire

Network Membership

•   attend annual meeting

•   give feedback to the group as and when necessary

•   receive copies of minutes

•   invitation to any training/conferences/events etc

•   be an ambassador for volunteering in Lancashire

Volunteer Compact Code

Lancashire County Council in partnership with Volunteer Lancashire are in the

process of reviewing the volunteer compact code. This code sets down minimum

standards and good practice for organisations/services who use volunteers.

This document is in draft form and we are looking for comments from any volunteer

involving services. If you would like a copy of our draft so that you can comment

please email Julie.sumner@lancashire.gov.uk – you have until the end of the 2011

to comment.
